Q: Should I feed my roses in August? I’d like to see them bloom again once the adult Japanese Beetles disappear for the year.
A: Apply a final round of fertilizer to roses and flowering plants by mid-August to support late blooms without promoting tender new growth too late in the season. Remember that some very beautiful roses are once-blooming, no matter how much fertilizer you give them.
