Is it okay to prune trees & shrubs in March?
Keith Funk

Q: Should I be pruning trees and shrubs this time of year?
A: It’s time to assess any winter damage and remove dead or broken branches. Prune fruit trees, roses, Clematis and summer-blooming shrubs to encourage healthy growth.
Wait to prune spring blooming shrubs until after they flower.
